An easy spring table setting 2018

blog hop, home sweet home, tablescape

Hey friends, welcome to the Beautiful Spring Tables Tour hosted by the talented Tammy over at Pink Peppermint Design. If you just hopped over from her beautiful Spring inspired post, welcome! I know you left inspired! I hope you get more inspiration here and as you tour the rest of the posts on today’s blog hop!

Today I wanted to share an easy table setting for 6. A beautiful tablescape doesn’t have to be complicated to be beautiful. I love a simple clean and crisp table for Spring! Also, if you missed it, last week I shared a little spring tour of a few spaces including our spring every day dining room here.

(Affiliate links may be in this post. As always, all opinions are my own.)

It all started with that art on the shelf I found at Homegoods. It’s simple and reflects my love for stripes but in an edgy, scalloped, herringbone kind of way. I have no idea what this one is called, but that’s what came to mind!

The table-cloth continued that love for stripes! This table-cloth was affordable and can be used in all seasons. You can get one here if you’re interested. I also used striped cloth napkins because stripes on stripes are my jam! These napkins are no longer available but are a part of the Hearth and Hand line at Target.

To continue the simplicity, I clipped 2 branches from our olive tree! I know these are a little big and might get in the way when eating so I would trim it a little shorter if there were actual guests coming over for a meal. But I loved the scale visually so I decided to keep it as is. Oh, and take advantage of those pretty clippings in your yard! Free is my kind of deal!

I also used a simple cylinder glass vase (that can be found at so many different stores; mine were being given away at a garage sale), because visually it takes up less space and also gives a light and airy feel which I love in spring! I also displayed some glass vases on the shelf.

I used a mix of gold and copper details on the table. I love mixing metals and feel it added a little fun to this simple table. The aged brass found on the napkin rings also adds a touch of warmth!

I repurposed a bamboo folding tray to hold the ice and drinks. I added a marble cutting board to have a flat surface but I think it added a cute detail to the tray. Can you tell we love lemon flavored stuff, especially in spring and summer! It’s just so refreshing!

And as usual, white, wood and natural elements is everywhere in our home year round, which makes it really easy to transition and add little touches suited for each season.
