Brunch at the Breakfast Nook with Pops of Blue

blog hop, Styling, tablescape

Hey friends, who else is like hands on both cheeks, mouth wide open, as the thought of it actually being summer is already here. Okay so I know it’s not officially summer yet, but we are a few weeks away people and I am beyond shocked that we’re already having summer talks. Well, to get us ready for summer, my friend Mysha over at Remington Avenue, is hosting this Summer Tablescape Tour and I am so excited to be a part of these wonderful group of ladies to share our tablescapes with you today. If you are visiting from Yuni’s blog over at Love Your Abode, welcome! I am so happy you’re here!

Well, I thought since our breakfast Nook is finally ready to be used, all thanks to the One Room Challenge for the push ;), today it’s dressed up for summer brunch. Also, this is our rug that didn’t make it on time for the ORC reveal. It’s from Rugs USA and I love it. It has just enough color that will mask those spills!

The full view:

This table is set for 4. Which was perfect because as soon as this was over, the 3 older kids came and ate with me.

what’s on the table:

Having fruit and yogurt is always a refreshing way to start brunch. The little lemon bites are just as refreshing and easy to grab while waiting for the main meal. Cheese and crackers are for those that need something savory.

Brunch is an easy way to get together with an easy laid back menu. Brunch also generally looks like a lot of kids in the summer in my world so brunch is the perfect hour because it’s not too hot to have the kids eat and play outside while you catch up with your girls! It’s fun for everyone and not too hard to host!

Who else is head over heels for these gold rimmed pretty blue and white dishes. I love them and they were found at Hobby Lobby. I think the water color look with the gold touch look a little more dressed up while the actual pattern does give it that summer laid back picnic feel. I think it’s the perfect touch to this brunch table.

We already had the napkins and I folded it just so you could see the pop of blue because otherwise there would have been too much blue here. In every design I like to shop the house and we definitely did that with the exception of the hobby lobby dishes.

For our centerpiece, I totally would have loved a flower arrangement, but you can NEVER go wrong with greenery picked from the yard. Just make sure to give it a good shake before bringing it in. I’d hate to have some spiders hanging down and jumping into my friend’s plate as they eat. So yes, that would be the only possible wrong. Haha. But free is always nice!

Alma, I love your table! You have completed so much in your new home already and it looks amazing. I saw those same dishes at Hobby Lobby and really had to use self-control because I already own too many blue dishes. But I love seeing how you displayed them. Lovely job, friend!
