thanksgiving tablescape 2016 #2: an easy last minute neutral table

Styling

Hey again.. In yesterday’s post, I mentioned a neutral table I’d be sharing with you today. Well here’s an easy swapping of a tablescape with color turned neutral with the table I set up yesterday. I know some of us may be having multiple tables to set for separate thanksgiving parties and maybe you wanted to have 2 different looks. Or maybe you just wanted an idea for a neutral last minute table. I definitely have been there! And this table is definitely for those looking for something quick and simple. And is a good foundation that you can totally build on for a more decked out table. I wanted to share my table and how I easily swapped a few items for an easy change.
Here was the table I shared yesterday:

And here’s the quick changes I made for a neutral table for today’s post:

First I swapped out the multicolored table runner for this creme and muted slate grey runner. Then I replaced all the colored pumpkins all with white ones. I removed the ramekins and swapped the colored mugs all with the white mugs which still have fun playful sayings on it and are from Target.

I kept the same plates, placemats, candles and napkins since they all stayed with the neutral theme.

To sum it up, I essentially removed most colors and kept whatever stuck with the neutral theme.

With those little changes, I have a more simple and neutral table, still pretty and ready to host a meal. And the best part is, with a neutral table, it can easily go into Christmas with minimal changes like removing the pumpkins and adding a little Christmas touch. This quick switcheroo was done in 10 minutes. Miss Londyn actually fluffed those trees for me the other day and mama is so proud of my big girl, but we have to do a little editing later, lol!

Anyone can set a pretty thanksgiving table, even if it’s last minute with just the very basics on hand! So who’s hosting this year? I love seeing the pretty tables from the simple ones to the decked out ones! I love them all! It’s amazing how something as simple as a centerpiece can spark a great conversation with someone we never met before! The power of little details right?!
