Our Cozy Christmas Fireplace Mantel + a Samsung Frame TV review

home sweet home, Styling

It’s a cold rainy Sunday over here and I’ve been in bed for 24 hours now out with some type of a stomach bug. But things are looking up, I’ve been able to sit up, actually walk around a bit and even had the energy to fold a load of laundry.

Since I’m here not getting around to trimming our family room tree like we planned, I thought it was the perfect time to share our Christmas fireplace mantel and a highly requested review of our Samsung Frame TV.

My thoughts of the Samsung Frame TV is that we really do love it. We loved it so much we actually own 3. We love that they look like art when they aren’t in use, they’re clean and sleek, and you can add a frame to it if you’re in the mood for customizing it. Here’s our Samsung Frame TV with the natural wood frame:

As far as the quality of the picture, I think it also looks great. My husband definitely is harder to please, and even he says he loves it. I don’t think he would have purchased 3 if he wasn’t sold on it.

Then, there’s the sound. Jason and I both agree that the Samsung Frame TV doesn’t have the best sound, and needs surround sound if it’s going to be used regularly to watch movies.

Finally, there’s how the tv works. It’s a smart tv and so easy to operate. It has a great controller that’s cute and white (a plus for me), and isn’t complicated at all, even for someone like me who is zero percent tech savvy.

Overall, it’s a great tv, we highly recommend! You are for sure paying for the design and the art feature.

I’m so excited that our mantel finally has the garland and stockings up! Well, it has been up for a week and initially I wanted to wait til the gloomy rainy days passed. But after waiting it out a few days, I realized I really didn’t need much sunshine to show our fireplace mantel with the twinkling lights.

And in case you were wondering, I 100% had to scoot the dining room table all the way left to get a better view of the fireplace. Haha, you gotta do what you gotta do!

I went with a neutral and simple design which you know is my favorite route to take. A little faux fur and knits for the stockings, 2 layered flocked garlands, a pencil tree in a concrete planter, and lots of twinkle lights. Such simple additions make this fireplace wall festive, doesn’t it?! How did you do your Christmas mantels this year? Did you stick with a theme or play it by ear? I’d love to know!

Hi, your fireplace looks beautiful! Of course, I love your design style and pretty much everything you do. I cannot believe those are TV’s, incredible. Looks so much better than a black hole (regular TV) hanging above the FP. Really enjoy your blog….Merry Christmas to you and yours!

Hi Alma, we are a property management business and we are looking to create a christmas photo and we absolutely love the photo with the picture above the fireplace (were we could put our christmas staff photo in as a photoshop) we didn’t want to just save the photo and wanted permission to use the photo. Please let me know if this would be possible at all – thank you so much. Kind Regards Sarah
