Living room refresh with stone washed linen curtains

product love, room tour

With the new year, it has been all about getting the house organized, making a list of all the projects we want to tackle this year, and specifically the past week, working on a living room refresh in here.

First we switched the living room back to a living/dining room combo space and the previous dining room is back to being a small breakfast nook/family room space. We’ve been testing out what works best for us, and it looks like we are set on keeping it this way.

With the changes, it felt right to also upgrade our curtains in our living room from Magic Linen. The quality and feel of these curtains are a total upgrade. They’re stone washed and have a pretty natural finish that really warms up the space. Curtains also have a way of instantly making a room feel cozy, and these definitely do just that!

The curtains are also well made, have lots of beautiful colors to choose from, and different header styles for hanging the curtains. I went with the pencil pleat because I think they give an elevated, clean, modern and minimal look.

They let in subtle light and create a beautiful ambiance. So much to love, but my absolute favorite thing is, with all other curtains I’ve ever owned, I’ve always needed to iron them before hanging them. But these were hung straight out of the bag and they look amazing. The crazy thing is the light wrinkles actually look good on them and give them this casual and organic feel I love!

You can customize the width and length to fit your windows perfectly. I chose a length that’s a couple inches longer with the rings because I love the casual vibe it gives. If you plan on adding rings to your curtains, and want your curtains to just kiss the floors, make sure to factor that into your measurements.

And I’m sure you noticed our new rattan cart here right by the front door. I think it’s great to drop a wallet and keys, and hold slippers for guests to slip on at their convenience. Even still, we’re trying to figure out how to better make use of the no entryway space and have some plans we might be working on very soon to accommodate guests a little better. I’ll be sure to share those plans with you as soon as we find out if it fits the budget.

How have you been embracing this new year? Any refreshes, organization, or project planning happening with you guys? I’ve been thinking through what projects I’d like to get done this year and hoping to getting to organizing this week!

Stay tuned for the breakfast nook project that we’re currently working on and sharing all the bts over on my story highlights and will share soon here. You can subscribe to the blog so you don’t miss it! Thanks so much for stopping by!
