A Cozy Fall Bedroom Escape

home sweet home, product love, room tour

It’s official, we moved to our new home 1.5 weeks ago! I’ll be sharing more of our new place and our last goodbye of our past home soon. For today I wanted to share the first space I chose to welcome Fall into our new home, OUR MASTER BEDROOM! The room that usually gets overlooked didn’t today!

In my book, Fall always has some interpretation of cozy, and Cstudio Home was kind enough to let me curate a cozy Fall inspired bedroom and it is no surprise I went with neutrals! When sticking with a neutral palette, I love layering textures and adding cute little details to give interest. Cstudio Home has some great pieces to choose from and I’m so excited to share those fabulous choices with you today!

Creating a space that is special and uniquely my own is one of my favorite things to do, and today I want to share how you can create your very own beautifully layered bed for Fall,  that will make you feel like you just entered your favorite 5 star hotel bed!

Start with the foundation:

The basics:

Living in California, we really wanted a comforter that was not too light and not too heavy so we went with this organic comforter in medium. It really is the perfect weight for us! I also think this is a great choice in general because you can easy layer on a throw or a quilt for the colder months.

We chose the organic pillows in Medium because we generally both sleep on our backs. Check what type of pillow is recommended for you depending on what type of sleeper you are!

The sheet set:

I went with this bright white organic sheet set which includes a flat sheet, one fitted sheet, and 2 pillowcases. You really can’t go wrong with this set; it matches everything and it’s easy to wash and use all year long!

The not so basic duvet cover:

Though this duvet cover is for the most part a simple off white cover, I just love the little eyelet trim detail at the bottom end! It gives the right amount of interest and detail to an otherwise simple cover! It’s also super soft and I really appreciate that the cover has ties on all 4 corners to tie on to the comforter so it doesn’t slip and slide!

Add the fun yet functional pieces:

Shams & euro shams:

I didn’t always use these, but I feel like they are like the second layer after the basics! I think they still count as basics, but it adds a little more personality to a bed, and is still very much a part of the functionality of the bed! I personally think these are key to giving your bed that hotel luxury feel too!

I went with the shams and euro shams that match the duvet cover. What can I say, those eyelet trim details got me and I am so glad I got these because I know they are the kind of design that will never go out of style and I will love for a long time!

Coverlet and matching sham:

I chose this beautiful, jacquard-woven geometric quilt and matching shams because I knew it would be the perfect layer for the winter time when we need the extra warmth, but you guys,  I didn’t know it was going to be this soft! It is by far, the best coverlet I’ve ever owned. The shams are so soft and cozy and the pretty details makes it double as accent pillows! Oh, and as if that wasn’t enough, both are reversible and equally beautiful on both sides!!

Go the extra mile:

Let’s face it, throw pillows on a bed is like wearing jewelry, it’s a fashion statement! Sure it can also be functional, but I wouldn’t want anyone falling asleep and drooling on these!

The stone washed pillows in both gray and natural  adds another textural element to the bed. Still neutral, but weathered with rich textures! Don’t they just give this bed personality?!

The ivory shag pillow is a mix of thick shag and chunky loops and it gives a boho vibe that adds an element of fun to the bed!

Lastly, we added this distressed grey throw into the mix for those times we are not quite ready for bed but still want to get a little cozy. Whether it be reading a book, watching a show or taking a little power nap, it’s nice to have a throw ready!

That pretty much sums up our cozy Fall bedding escape I created that isn’t just uniquely our own, but layered to five star hotel perfection (husband’s words, woot woot!).

If you see something you like from Cstudio Home, now is the perfect time to grab those items with their 25% off sitewide sale with code: FALL18 which ends November 13th.  I love the neutral mix and hope you got some ideas today for creating a beautifully layered bed!
